Lyrics
[Verse 1]
Moonlight melts across the room and finds your face
I pour it slow and steady, we don't need to race
Lean a little closer, let the record play
The night is ours now, let it drift away
[Chorus]
Slow wine, slow down time
Keep your hand right here in mine
Slow wine, slow down time
Tell me yours and I'll tell you mine
Slow wine, slow down time
Let me read you like a sign
[Verse 2]
Rain is on the window but we're staying in
The world's still turning somewhere; let it spin
Your head upon my shoulder, your breath on my skin
And every second stretches like it's made of silk
[Chorus]
Slow wine, slow down time
Keep your hand right here in mine
Slow wine, slow down time
Tell me yours and I'll tell you mine
Slow wine, slow down time
Let me read you like a sign
[Bridge]
We used to rush through everything, you and I
Chasing every sunrise, never asking why
But tonight I learned that fast don't make it true.
The sweetest things take time —
Like me with you.
[Final Chorus]
Slow wine, slow down time
Keep your hand right here in mine
Slow wine, slow down time
We've got all night, you and me
Slow wine, slow down time
Two hearts and a melody
